Our History

James and Jim Adcock started their building careers in residential and commercial construction. Working in that industry gave them unique insight into what was absent in the pool construction and home entertainment market. They started Adcock Pools in 1973 and opened their first retail store in Ellisville, Mississippi. Word of Adcock’s high quality and innovative pool construction spread, and they experienced consistent growth into the Mississippi swimming pool market with the introduction of portable spas. They opened their Hattiesburg location in the early 1980s and continued to expand their services.

Keeping their commitment to unsurpassed customer service and fantastic products, the Adcock name continued to grow to the point where Jim and Kris Adcock opened a third location in Laurel and added more entertainment products that are in high demand – Billiards and Grills – proving that they are “in the fun business”.

Today they have expanded their pool construction beyond standard gunite options by including state-of-the-art water features, zero beach entries, and vanishing edges. “We attribute our longevity and success in the Pine Belt area of Mississippi to being a locally owned and operated company.
